How do scholars tell stories with digital media? An argument can travel as a chart, a network, a scrolling photo essay, or a piece of interactive fiction; each carries different conventions about what counts as proof. The final weeks ask you to choose your form and defend it.

How do scholars tell stories with digital media? Module V opens with a hands-on tour of storytelling platforms, data visualization tools, and gamification experiments. From Knight Labs to Tableau to gamified learning experiences, this session asks: when does a visualization become an argument?

Future Digital Research on/in/from the Middle East

Networks: what are they and what can they show us? This session explores network analysis as a method for humanistic inquiry, from social networks to citation maps to trade routes. How do we demystify networks without oversimplifying them? What are the limits of network representation?

Final Class: Presentations of Grant/Project Directions

Final class. Students present their grant application and project directions, including summer plans for continuing digital scholarship. Final Project submission due May 18.
